Important Dates and Deadlines
FALL 2009
Monday, September 21
Tuesday, September 22
- Departmental orientation for new graduate students
10:00-2:30
Wednesday, September 23
- Last day to file dissertation without enrolling for fall 09 or paying the fall 09 filing fee (degree will be awarded December 11 if filing date is later than August 31)
Thursday, October 1
- Last day to apply for TA Advance Loan (form due to Graduate Advisor by 5pm)
Friday, November 6
- 2pm-4pm: Foreign language proficiency exams in French, German and Spanish (162 Royce Hall)
Monday, November 30
- Last day to file dissertation for Ph.D. degrees to be awarded December 11, 2009
Wednesday, December 18
- Last day to file dissertation without enrolling for winter 09 or paying the winter 09 filing fee (degree will be awarded March 19, 2010 if filing date is later than November 30)
WINTER 2010
Friday, January 8
- Last day to apply for winter quarter TA Advance Loan (form due to Graduate Advisor by 8 am)
